Dr. Kurt Anderson

Dr. Anderson is an award winning dental graduate from the University of Minnesota. He has been practicing family and general dentistry in Rapid City and the Black Hills area since 1986, including oral surgery, dental crowns & bridges, fillings, dentures, root canal therapy, dental implants, TMJ therapy, and cosmetic dentistry. Anderson Dental strives to make your experience as enjoyable as possible with friendly, understanding staff. We can take care of the entire family’s dentistry needs.

Dr. Anderson’s undergraduate studies included Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1986 from the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry, with honors. The largest dental school in the United States bestowed on Dr. Anderson the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon and International College of Dentists Academic Award. Less than 1% of all dental graduates receive such recognition, making him one of Rapid City SD’s top dentists. Dr. Anderson has been practicing dentistry in Rapid City SD and the Black Hills area for over 25 years!

Dr. Karl Anderson

Dr. Karl Anderson is a doctor of family and general practice dentistry. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology graduating with honors, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Science where he specialized in biology and chemistry. He is also a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

Dr. Karl strives to provide comprehensive patient-centered care and looks forward to developing life-long relationships with his patients. One thing that Dr. Karl is known for is how he treats his patients as if they were his family.

Dr. Karl is a proud father and husband. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, mountain biking and being with his family.

Sonya

Sonya is our Team Leader. She started working in the dental field in 2013 and joined the Anderson Dental crew in April of 2018. She grew up on a ranch in between the Black Hills and the Badlands. She has a wonderful husband, Clayton and a beautiful little girl, Emma. They look forward to teaching her about the beautiful Black Hills. Sonya enjoys working in an office that strives to keep our patients happy and healthy.

Courtney

Courtney received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from USD, Vermillion in 2009. She has been a hygienist with Anderson Dental since 2010.

Courtney is able to build strong relationships with the patients because she truly cares about their oral health. She provides gentle dentistry care and she believes the patient is always top priority.

Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as her friends and family.

Kim

Kim has lived in Rapid City for over 35 years. She moved here with her husband after finishing their degrees at USD. They have three children and seven grandkids!

Kim has been with Anderson Dental since December 1, 2014. She feels blessed to be employed at an office where she can give the patients the time and education they need.

Santa

Santa is a Utah College of Dental Hygiene High Honors graduate where she received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Santa also has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from the University of Latvia. Continuing education is a high priority in her life. She believes in helping others and is honored to work with all of her patients.

Santa was born and raised in Latvia (Europe) and is her first language is Latvian. After graduating from the University of Latvia, she moved to South Dakota where she started a new chapter with her husband, Adam. They have two wonderful boys who are finally old enough to travel with them and go on some amazing hikes.

Regalia

Regalia originally grew up in the Caribbean where she went to college and had a rewarding career in marketing until moving to the U.S. where she decided to switch careers. She lived in Arizona in 2012 where she became a Certified Dental Assistant and has loved it ever since. She loves interacting with her patients while helping to provide the best dental care possible.

Regalia resides in Rapid City, enjoys exploring the Black Hills and spending as much quality time as possible with her two amazing kids.

Arica

Arica has been an Administrative Assistant at Anderson Dental since June of 2019. She was born and raised in the Black Hills and loves spending time with her husband, step daughter and two dogs. Arica’s main goal is to make sure that all of our patients feel comfortable and welcome!

Lisa

Lisa has been an assistant at Anderson Dental since June of 2019. She attended school in Arizona for dental assisting in 2007. She decided to move back to South Dakota because she missed the cooler weather! She and her husband, Adam, share 4 kids and 2 dogs together. They love working on their home and going out on their Harley.

Jessica

Jessica has been an Administrative Assistant since May of 2021. She was born in New Jersey, but raised here in the Black Hills with her two sisters. When she isn’t working she is spending time with her boyfriend and their four kids. They spend days swimming, camping with friends, or running around the local parks.

Emilie

Emilie joined Anderson Dental as an assistant in July of 2021. She grew up in Wyoming but is now living in the Black Hills with her fiancé. She enjoys all things outdoors and is looking forward to her career at Anderson Dental.
