Emergencies
We return all calls!
Toothaches
Can have many causes, usually trauma of some kind or infection. Trauma can simply be a bite that needs an adjustment or if an accident occurred. All require a trip to the office as soon as possible; Don’t Wait!!
Cut lip or cheek
Usually look worse than they are. Wounds in and around the mouth ‘gape” open and often requires stitches. The good news is the healing is very fast!
Knocked out baby tooth/permanent tooth
Consider the tooth “lost”, but we need to see you. An x-ray should be taken and all teeth checked. See us immediately!
Chipped/fractured tooth
If it doesn’t hurt, most likely you’re ok. If the tooth is bleeding from the area, a root canal will be needed. A simple chip can be restored with a filling, a crown or veneer. You will be good as new!
Swelling
Two kinds of swelling may occur; one from trauma and one from infection. Infections get warm and moist packs to the area, and traumas such as a head trauma get an ice pack: 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. Confusing the two can be a bigger problem, in any event call the office immediately!
