What is periodontal gum disease?
- Periodontal disease is caused by bacteria build up in the mouth. Symptoms can range from red swollen gums to bleeding and bad breath. If the infection is not treated you may see spaces between the teeth, receding gum tissue, or a loss of teeth. Proper diagnosis and cleanings can successfully treat gum disease at almost any stage. Uncontrolled this disease can shorten your life!
